Founded in 1959 by Jay Snyder, an abrasives salesman who worked at Musto-Keenan and Company (the "M" and "K" in MK Diamond Products) for 14 years before starting a company dedicated to abrasives materials. National Abrasives supplied the booming post-war foundry industry, the government, shipping and refinery businesses and the beginings of the Silicon Valley revolution. Jay was successful because he followed one simple rule: The Customer Always Comes First.
